Companion services – Life Skills Development Level 1 Description Companion services consist of non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities provided to recipients age 21 years or older. This service must be provided in direct relation to the achievement of the recipient’s goals as specified in the recipient’s support plan. The service provides access to community-based activities that cannot be provided by natural or other unpaid supports, and should be defined as activities most likely to result in increased ability to access community resources without paid support. These services can be scheduled on a regular, long-term basis. Activities can be volunteer activities performed by the recipient as a pre-work activity or activities that connect a recipient to the community. Direct care staff – Residential Habilitation Experienced LPN – HHA – CNA are welcome to apply .Requirements:Must speak english – Bilingual is a plus but not required . English/Spanish to accommodate our English and Spanish speaking residents.Direct care staff providing residential habilitation services must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or child care setting or in working with persons who have a developmental disability. College, vocational, or technical training equal to 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours can substitute for the required experience.
